Careers and Work Placement

In Years 7 and 8 students learn about the types of careers available and develop an understanding of employability skills. In Year 9 students build on their knowledge and skills and have 1-2-1 interviews and receive guidance about future careers choices and pathways as they prepare to choose their options. Students in Year 10 continue to build on their knowledge from Year 9 and are introduced to post-16 choices and experiences. All students in Year 10 are offered the opportunity to take part in a Work Experience Placement. Students in Year 11 are fully supported as they apply for their next steps, both in terms of professional guidance and assistance with applications for their chosen pathway.
